  • 1 c. margarine
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. ginger
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 c. baking molasses
  • 1 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 4 c. flour, sifted very lightly

Directions

    Cream sugar well with margarine.

    Stir soda into buttermilk. Combine the ingredients and drop on a greased and floured cookie sheet.

    Brush top with well beaten egg.

    Bake at 375° for approximately 10 to 12 minutes.
