- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 1/3 c. water (105~ to 115~)
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 4 c. flour
- 2 Tbsp. coarse salt
Directions

1Preheat oven to 425°.

2Grease 2 cookie sheets.

3In large bowl, sprinkle yeast over water.

4Gradually add sugar, salt and flour. Knead on floured board 5 to 7 minutes.

5Cut dough in half, then cut each half into 6 equal parts.

6Roll and stretch into 15-inch ropes.

7Shape into pretzels.

8Brush with egg and water.
-
9Sprinkle with coarse salt.

10Bake 15 to 20 minutes, until golden brown. Makes 12 pretzels.
