  • 3 c. flour (all-purpose)
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 2 sticks margarine or butter
  • 1 1/2 cartons sour cream (8 oz. cartons)
  • 6 eggs
  • scant 1/4 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 to 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Mix flour, sugar, soda and baking powder together.

    Cream margarine, sour cream and eggs together.

    Mix both mixtures together well; add vanilla.

    Bake in a tube pan at 300° for 1 1/2 hours or until cake is golden brown and shrinks from pan sides.
