- 2 c. proofed sourdough batter
- 2 1/4 c. flour
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. butter or Crisco
- 1/2 c. milk or buttermilk
Directions

1Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl and cut in butter.

2Mix milk with batter and stir into dry ingredients.

3Knead on a board for about 30 seconds.

4Roll dough to 1/2 inch thick; cut into circles with glass or biscuit cutter.

5Place on greased cookie sheet. Allow to rise 30 minutes.

6Brush with melted butter or milk and bake at 400° for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
