- 4 c. sliced, peeled, fresh or frozen peaches, thawed
- 1 1/2 c. sugar, divided
- 1/2 tsp. almond, divided
- 1/2 c. margarine, melted
- 3/4 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 3/4 c. milk
Directions

1In a bowl, gently toss peaches, 1 cup of sugar and almond extract; set aside.

2Pour margarine into a 2-quart baking dish. In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and remaining sugar; stir in milk.

3Mix well.

4Pour evenly over margarine (do not stir).

5Top with peach mixture.

6Bake at 350° for 50 to 55 minutes or until golden brown.
