  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. dark (Karo) syrup
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 1 1/4 c. pecan halves
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell

Directions

    Beat together sugar, syrup, salt, flour and eggs.

    Add vanilla, butter and pecans.

    Pour into unbaked pie shell.

    (Turn pecan halves, rounded side up.)

    Bake at 300° for about 1 hour, until filling is set.

    Serve with whipped cream, if desired.
