  • 1 c. self-rising flour
  • 1 c. self-rising cornmeal
  • 1 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 c. butter, melted

Directions

    Mix all ingredients until smooth.

    Turn into a hot, well-oiled pan.

    Smooth oil over entire top of batter.

    Bake in a preheated 425° oven until sides shrink from pan, approximately 25 minutes. Serve immediately.
