Spaghetti Pie

  • 1 pkg. Kraft Italian style dinner (green box)
  • 3 qt. boiling water with 2 tsp. salt and 1 Tbsp. oil
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1/3 c. chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 6 slices Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1/2 lb. pork sausage
  • 1/2 lb. ground meat (lean)
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1 c. water

    Cook spaghetti in boiling water.

    Drain.

    Mix oil, Parmesan cheese and eggs with spaghetti to form pie crust.

    Saute green peppers and onions with margarine; mix with sour cream and place on top of pie crust.

    Cook meat (can use all ground meat) and drain. Mix spices (1 package) with the tomato paste (or you may use sauce), water and meat.

    Place on top of sour cream.

    Bake 20 minutes at 350°.

    Add cheese and bake another 5 minutes to melt. This will freeze well.

    Thaw thoroughly prior to baking.
