  • 2 lb. ground chuck, browned
  • 2 (1 lb. 13 oz.) cans tomato sauce*
  • 12 oz. tomato paste
  • 1 or 1/2 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 c. chopped onions or dried equivalent
  • 1 tsp. basil
  • 2 Tbsp. parsley flakes
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano

    Brown meat thoroughly, drain off grease.

    Add rest of ingredients, mix thoroughly.

    Simmer at least an hour or two, but the longer it simmers, the better it is.
