- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 to 1 lb. Italian sausage
- 1 medium onion, chopped fine
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 2 (12 oz.) cans tomato paste
- 2 envelopes dry spaghetti sauce mix
- 1 jar mushrooms
- 3 c. water
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped or crushed
- 16 oz. spaghetti
Directions

1Cook and stir meat, onion and pepper until meat is brown and onion is tender.

2Stir in remaining ingredients except spaghetti and cheese.

3Cover and simmer on low heat; stir often.

4Cook spaghetti and pour sauce over it.

5Top with cheese.

6Serve with salad and crusty rolls or French or Italian bread.
