Ingredients

  • 1/2 bushel ripe tomatoes, cook and put through sieve
  • 5 hot peppers
  • 5 sweet peppers
  • 5 large onions
  • 1 head clove garlic, cook with 1/2 c. oil until soft
  • 4 (12 oz.) cans tomato paste
  • 1/4 c. salt
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. basil
  • 2 tsp. oregano
  • 2 tsp. celery salt
  • 2 tsp. parsley

Directions

    Cook until thick, about 40 minutes.

    Put into jars and seal. Makes 6 quarts.
