  • minced onion (fresh or dried)
  • 1 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano (dried)
  • 1/2 tsp. thyme (dried)
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 can mushrooms

Directions

    Brown ground chuck and onion; drain.

    In blender combine tomatoes, tomato paste and water until smooth.

    Add seasonings. Blend until mixed.

    Pour over browned meat.

    Add mushrooms. Simmer uncovered 3/4 to 1 1/2 hours.
