- 1 c. shortening (part butter)
- 1 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 3 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 2 c. salted Spanish peanuts
Directions

1Heat oven to 375°.

2Mix thoroughly the shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla.

3Sift together dry ingredients and stir in.

4Add peanuts.

5Drop rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto greased cookie sheet.

6Flatten with glass dipped in water, then sugar.

7Bake about 10 minutes.

8Makes about 6 dozen cookies.
