  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 Tbsp. shortening or bacon drippings
  • 1 can tomato sauce, paste or catsup
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
