- 3 c. rice
- 2/3 c. oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 small can diced chilies
- 1 tsp. hot jalapenos, diced (more if you like hotter)
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2/3 can tomato sauce
- garlic powder to taste
- 1 packet chicken broth
- 1 c. hot water
Directions

1Brown rice in oil halfway.

2Add onion and pepper and finish browning.

3Dissolve chicken broth with water.

4Add to rice, also tomato sauce and seasonings.

5Add approximately 2 cups more water to cover rice.

6Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and cook for 15 to 20 minutes.

7Let sit 5 minutes.
