- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tablespoon coarsely chopped fresh ginger
- Juice of 2 lemons
- 1/4 cups cooked chick peas
- 1/4 cup smooth unseasoned peanut butter
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed hot red pepper flakes, or to taste
- Salt to taste
- Chips or raw vegetables for dipping
Directions

1With the machine running, drop the garlic and ginger through the feed tube of a food processor and process until minced.

2Scrape the sides of the bowl, then add the lemon juice.

3Process briefly, then add the chick peas and process until the mixture is smooth.

4Add the peanut butter a little at a time and process until the mixture is smooth and has a creamy consistency.

5If it is too stiff, add a little water.

6Add the hot red pepper flakes and salt to taste.

7Transfer to a dish and serve with chips or vegetables for dipping.
