  • 1 1/2 c. whole nuts
  • 2 Tbsp. cold water
  • 1 egg white
  • 2 c. powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. cornstarch
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. ginger
  • 2 tsp. cloves

Directions

    Add cold water to slightly beaten egg white. Using fork, dip each nut in egg mixture. Sift all dry ingredients together and roll nuts in a portion of this mixture until well coated. Put half remaining mixture in shallow pan.

    Place nuts well apart and cover with remaining mixture.

    Bake at 250° for 2 hours.

    Shake off excess spice mixture.
