  • 4 cups (1#) whole pecans
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3-4 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup + 2 tbsp packed brown sugar (can you light or dark)
  • 1 1/3 to 1 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (more if you like more spicy)
  • 1 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • A couple splashes of tabasco for more kick (optional)
