Spicy Fried Ginger Chicken

Ingredients

  • 500 grams boneless chicken breast, cubed
  • 4 tbsp ginger, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp crushed red chilli or red chilli paste
  • 1 tsp crushed black pepper
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 tbsp garlic, chopped finely
  • 1 sprig of shallot or spring onion, finely chopped
  • 1 dash of soy sauce
  • 1 dash of vinegar
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • 2 ml or a few drops of food color, red
  • 2 cup oil to fry

Directions

    Mix all the ingredients, except the oil and refrigerate.

    Allow the chicken to marinate for atleast an hour.

    Deep fry the chicken, when ready to serve.

    Serve with a side of sweet n sour cucumbers, sweet chilli or apricot sauce.
