- 1 lb. dry green split peas
- 8 c. cold water
- 2 cubes beef bouillon
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. dried marjoram
- 2 medium carrots, chopped
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
Directions

1Rinse dry green split peas.

2In a pot combine peas, cold water, beef bouillon, onion, bay leaf, pepper and marjoram.

3Bring to boiling.

4Reduce heat.

5Cover and simmer 1 hour.

6Stir occasionally.

7Stir in carrots and celery.

8Cover and simmer 30 minutes more.

9Season.
