Ingredients
- 1 lb. split peas
- ham bone, cut up or seasoning ham
- 1 onion, cut in half
- 1/2 tsp. minced garlic and parsley
- 3 carrots, diced
- 1 c. celery, diced
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Wash peas.

2Cover with water.

3Add ham bone and all seasonings.

4Add salt and pepper.

5Cook until peas are tender. Add water if soup is too thick.

6Should yield about 2 quarts soup. Serve piping hot and add croutons before serving.
