  • 1 whole Beef Soup Bone
  • 2-1/2 cups Split Peas
  • 2 whole Carrots, Sliced
  • 1 whole Onion
  • 9 cups Water
  • 1/2 teaspoons Allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoons Ground Pepper
  • 2 whole Bay Leaves
  • 2-1/2 teaspoons Salt

Directions

    In a large pot, heat bone, peas, carrots, onion and water to boiling.

    Add allspice, pepper and bay leaf.

    Reduce heat to low, simmer for 11/2 hours.

    Remove bone, bay leaves and add salt to taste.
