- 1 whole Beef Soup Bone
- 2-1/2 cups Split Peas
- 2 whole Carrots, Sliced
- 1 whole Onion
- 9 cups Water
- 1/2 teaspoons Allspice
- 1/4 teaspoons Ground Pepper
- 2 whole Bay Leaves
- 2-1/2 teaspoons Salt
Directions

1In a large pot, heat bone, peas, carrots, onion and water to boiling.

2Add allspice, pepper and bay leaf.

3Reduce heat to low, simmer for 11/2 hours.

4Remove bone, bay leaves and add salt to taste.
