- 1 lb. yellow split peas
- Ham bone
- 1 c. celery (1/2 inch pieces)
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
Directions

1In a six-quart kettle boil ham bone that still has some meat left, about 1/2 hour.Take meat from the bone and keep 2 quarts of the water.

2Add 1 lb. yellow split peas (which have been rinsed), celery, onion and ham pieces to water and bring to boil, then simmer about 3 hours.

3Season with salt and pepper.

4Serve hot.
