Squash Au Gratin

  • 3 medium yellow squash
  • 1 small sliced onion
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 slice white bread, cubed
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese

Directions

    Wash squash and cut into 1/4-inch slices.

    Place in medium frypan with onion, water and salt; cover.

    Cook 10 to 12 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally.

    In another pan, saute bread cubes in butter until toasty.

    Spoon squash and onions into bowl. Sprinkle with grated cheese and toasted bread cubes.
