- 1 1/2 lb. yellow squash
- 2 small onions
- 1/4 lb. butter (1 stick)
- 1 can chicken soup
- 1 c. small bread crumbs
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
- Parmesan cheese
Directions

1Wash and slice squash and onions.

2Cook squash until tender in just enough water to cover it.

3Drain well.

4Saute onions in small amount of butter.

5Combine squash and onions (including sauteed butter) and mash.

6Add salt and pepper.

7Add soup and half the bread crumbs and mix well.

8Butter 2-quart casserole dish and pour ingredients into dish.

9Top with remaining bread crumbs.

10Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.
