Ingredients

  • 3 or 4 squash, sliced thin
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 c. bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 1 c. grated cheese
  • 1/2 stick margarine

Directions

    Cook squash and onion in salt water until tender; drain.

    Beat until light.

    Add remaining ingredients, reserving 1/3 of cheese and bread crumbs for the top layer.

    Bake at 350° until cheese has melted and is light brown.
