- 1 lb. squash, cooked and mashed
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 c. mayonnaise
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 1/4 c. water chestnuts, sliced
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 c. grated cheese
- 1 c. buttered cracker crumbs
Directions

1Cook squash; drain and mash.

2Add all other ingredients, mixing well.

3Pour into buttered 2-quart casserole dish.

4Sprinkle crackers over the top; bake at 350° for 40 minutes.

5Can be frozen.
