- 1 1/2 c. winter squash, mashed
- 1 c. scalded milk
- scant 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 4 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 Tbsp. yeast
- 1/4 c. warm water
- about 5 c. flour
Directions

1Put squash, milk, sugar, salt and margarine in bowl and cool. When lukewarm, add yeast dissolved in water.

2Add half of the flour.

3Beat well.

4Gradually work in the rest of the flour.

5Turn onto a floured board and knead about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.

6Place in a greased bowl.

7Cover and let rise until doubled.

8Shape into rolls.

9Place in greased 9 x 13-inch pan and allow to rise again.

10Bake at 375° about 20 or 25 minutes.
