  • 4 sirloin strip steaks (1/2-inch thick)
  • small amount salt and freshly ground pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. dry mustard
  • 4 Tbsp. butter or oil
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2 tsp. snipped chives

Directions

    Pound steaks to 1/2-inch thickness.

    Sprinkle each side of steak with salt, pepper and 1/8 teaspoon of dry mustard; pour into meat.

    Melt butter in skillet.

    Add meat; cook for 2 minutes on each side.

    Transfer meat to hot serving plate.

    To skillet, add lemon juice, chives and Worcestershire sauce.

    Bring to boiling; pour over meat.

    Garnish with cooked mushrooms.
