Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup molasses
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 cup flour
Directions

1Mix all ingredients together in a bowl.

2spray a pan or metal cans (we use tomatao juice cans) with cooking spray.

3Pour in mixture until cans are half full.

4Cover tops with tinfoil.

5Place covered cans in a large pot and add hot water.

6Approximately halfway up the cans inside.

7Any more and cans will float.

8Cover pot with a lid and bring to a boil.

9Boil for 1 hour.

10Do not remove lid unless you must add more water.

11If more water is required stop the timer until a boil is once again reached.

12After the 1 hour, Remove cans and remove the tinfoil.

13Bread should be rounded at the top, and a knife should come out clean.

14Once bread has cooled for approximately 15 minutes turn cans upside down and slide out loaf of bread.

15Allow to cool a bit before slicing.
