Strawberry Cordial

Ingredients

  • 500 g strawberries, hulled & cut in half
  • 2 teaspoons citric acid
  • 1 12 cups water
  • 2 cups white sugar

Directions

    Place strawberries in a Large ceramic or glass bowl with citric acid & water.
  2. 2
    Cover and allow to stand for 24hours.
  3. 3
    Pour liquid through a fine sieve lined with muslin into a medium sized saucepan and add sugar.
  4. 4
    Stir over low heat just until sugar dissolves, do not allow it to boil.
  5. 5
    Remove from heat & pour into sterilised bottles & refrigerate.
