Strawberry Jam

  • 1 qt. strawberries, cut up
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • additional 1 1/2 c. sugar

Directions

    Pour 1 1/2 cups sugar over cut up strawberries; let dissolve, then boil for 5 minutes.

    Take off the eye and add 1 1/2 cups more sugar.

    Dissolve and boil for 15 minutes.

    Skim off the foam.

    Pour into crock for 24 hours, stirring occasionally.

    Then ladle into hot sterilized jars and cover with paraffin.
