- 18 teaspoon salt
- 1 12 lbs green beans, trimmed
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- salt & freshly ground black pepper
Directions

1Bring large saucepan of water to a boil on high heat.

2Add the salt and green beans.

3Cook until tender-crisp, 4 to 5 minutes.

5Meanwhile, melt butter on medium heat in large skillet.

6Cook until butter begins to brown lightly, about 3 minutes.

7Stir in lemon juice.

8Drain beans; add to skillet, tossing to coat with butter mixture.

9Heat through.

10Season with additional salt and fresh ground black pepper.

11To Steam: Fill a large pot with 2-inches of water and place a steamer inside.

12Bring water to a boil.

13Add string beans and cover for 5 minutes, or until beans are cooked throughout but still crisp to the bite.
