- 2 artichokes
- 5 c. plain bread crumbs
- 2 c. Romano cheese, grated
- 1 c. water
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 c. oil
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Wash and drain artichokes.

2Rap artichokes (top) against countertop to open leaves.

3Mix cheese, onions, garlic and bread crumbs.

4Season to taste. Mix well. Stuff between leaves.

5Place in a heavy gauge pot.

6Add 1 cup water.

7Pour oil over artichokes. Place in water.

8Cook, covered, until one leaf can be pulled off. Serve hot.
