Stuffed Baked Clams

  • 1 can Progresso white clam sauce (do not drain)
  • 2 1/2 c. Progresso Italian bread crumbs
  • 2 small cans minced clams, drained
  • 1/4 lb. butter
  • 1 medium chopped onion
  • 1 large stalk celery, chopped fine
  • 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. cayenne
  • small piece green pepper, chopped (if desired)

Directions

    Saute onion and celery (and pepper) in butter.

    Add sauce and bread crumbs.

    Add liquid and add 1/2 cup water to moisten if necessary.

    Stuff shells.

    Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
