Stuffed Cabbage Head

- 1 medium cabbage head
- 1 lb. lean ground beef or ground turkey
- 1 small chopped onion
- 2 Tbsp. garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce or 2 (8 oz.) cans V-8 juice
Directions

1Trim off outside of cabbage.

2Cook in boiling water 45 minutes, or until almost tender.

3Remove cabbage from water and drain.

4Reserve 1/4 cup cabbage water.

5Core cabbage, making a cavity through cabbage.

6Blend meat, onion and garlic powder; add 2 tablespoons tomato sauce.

7Stuff mixture into cabbage.

8Place in deep pot.

9Pour remaining tomato sauce over cabbage.

10Cover; cook about 1 hour at 350°.

11Remove from heat and serve with sauce. Yields 4 servings.
