Ingredients
- 2 c. clams (canned or thawed frozen)
- 1 c. seasoned bread crumbs
- 1 clove garlic, finely minced
- 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp. dried parsley
- 3 tsp. grated Romano cheese
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 2 Tbsp. liquid shortening
Directions

1Mix all ingredients together.

2Mixture should be loose enough to spoon into clam shells.

3Fill clam shells.

4Sprinkle with additional cheese and lightly with paprika.

5Add small dab of butter in center of clam mixture. Broil until brown.

6Mixture should stand for 1 hour before filling shells. Coat clam shells with oil or butter before filling so shell will be easier to clean.
