Stuffed Peppers

  • 1 lb. Jimmy Dean hot sausage
  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 (5.5 fluid oz.) can V-8 juice
  • 1 1/2 c. cooked rice
  • 1/2 c. Quick Quaker oats
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 4 medium sized bell peppers, cut the tops and core the inside
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder

Directions

    In a large bowl, mix sausage, garlic, hamburger, V-8 juice, rice and oats.

    Stuff the peppers with the mix.

    Place peppers in a casserole dish.

    Pour can of tomatoes over the peppers.

    Bake at 350° for 1 hour.

    Serve the peppers with 2 cups of cooked rice.
