Ingredients

  • 3 level c. flour, sifted
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 c. chopped suet (get this at the meat market)
  • 1 c. chopped raisins or currants (I use currants)
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 c. molasses

Directions

    Mix all ingredients together.

    Place in a greased mold with cover or 1 pound coffee can, two-thirds full and covered with foil.

    Tie foil on with string.

    Steam 3 hours.
