  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. Crisco or oleo
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 1/2 c. flour

Directions

    Mix Crisco and sugar together; add eggs.

    Put cream of tartar and soda in milk; add to oleo, sugar and egg mixture.

    Mix flour with all ingredients and add vanilla.
  4. 4
    Drop by spoonfuls on a cookie sheet.

    Bake at 350° for 12 to 15 minutes.
