- 1 pkg. yellow cake mix (regular size)
- 1/2 c. soft margarine
- 2 eggs
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. Philadelphia cream cheese, softened
- 1 lb. (4 c.) powdered sugar
- 2 eggs
Directions

1Mix cake mix, margarine and eggs.

2Spread in a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan (tin).

3Mix to a smooth batter in a mixer. Cream cheese, powdered sugar and eggs.

4Spread over the first layer.

5Sprinkle generously with nutmeg.

6Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.

7Do not overbake.

8Center will remain soft.

9Cut into squares when cool.

10Outside edges will seem crusty, so trim 1/4 inch all around pan and then cut into squares.

11Crusty part makes yummy samples and my children always knew when to be there.
