- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 3 c. milk
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced
- 4 c. chopped fresh vegetables (broccoli, mushrooms, peppers, celery and green beans)
- 1/4 c. onions, thinly sliced
- 1/2 lb. pasta
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. basil
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
Directions

1In saucepan melt 2 tablespoons butter.

2Stir in flour and cook 2 minutes until bubbly.

3Remove from heat and whisk in milk. Return to heat.

4Bring to a simmer and cook over medium heat until smooth and thickened, stirring constantly.

5Stir in 1/2 cup cheese, basil, salt and pepper.

6Set sauce aside.
