- 1/2 lb. granulated sugar
- 6 c. milk
- 3 oz. starch, dissolved in water
- 1 c. almonds, in small pieces
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. rice, cooked
- coconut (for garnish)
Directions

1Pour milk and sugar in a large saucepan and stir.

2Put the pan on the stove on mid-high heat.

3Add almonds, vanilla and egg. Blend the mixture at low speed.

4Bring it to a boil and add the boiled rice and dissolved starch into the mixture slowly. Continue to heat the mixture for 2 to 3 minutes, until it is slightly thickened.

5Remove the pan from heat.

6Put the mix into small cups and serve cold.

7Garnish with coconut if desired. Serves 10.
