  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. margarine
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 c. confectioners sugar

Directions

    Cook raisins in water for 10 minutes; cool.

    Cream sugar and margarine well.

    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Add vanilla and cooked raisins, mixing well.

    Add sifted flour and baking soda; mix.

    Put in a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.

    When cool, make glaze of confectioners sugar and a little water.

    Spread on top.

    Cut in squares.
