- 1 large yeast cake
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. melted and cooled shortening
- 1 c. lukewarm milk
- 4 c. sifted flour
Directions

1Work together yeast and 1 tablespoon sugar; set aside.

2Then beat together eggs, 1/2 cup sugar and salt.

3Add melted and cooled shortening; add yeast mixture.

4Add alternately milk and flour. Cover bowl and set in refrigerator for several hours.

5Then empty out dough onto flour covered board.

6Divide dough in half; roll out first half to 1/4-inch thickness.

7Brush with melted butter. Cut into pie shaped wedges and roll each wedge from outer edge to center.

8Repeat with second half of dough.

9Place rolls on greased cookie sheet, bending into crescent shape and let rise 2 hours. Bake 10 minutes in 400° oven.
