Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground or chuck steak
  • 1/2 c. diced green pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. steak sauce
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 envelope onion soup mix
  • 1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
  • 1/2 lb. mushrooms or small container (optional)
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch

Directions

    Cut steak into 2 1/2-inch strips and brown.

    Add other ingredients, except cornstarch and simmer 2 hours.

    Use cornstarch to thicken gravy.

    May be baked in 350° oven for 2 hours.
