- 2 cup cooked rice
- 1 lb ground beef or ground turkey
- 3 to 4 tablespoons taco seasoning
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 cup salsa
- 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 *optional toppings- chopped onion, sour cream, diced avocado, sliced black olives*
Directions

1Heat a large skillet over medium high heat.

2Add the ground beef or turkey and cook until browned, breaking it up into chunks and stirring to brown all sides.

3Drain any grease at this time.

4Add the taco seasoning and cook, stirring about 2 minutes.

5Add water.

6Stir to combine.

7Reduce heat to medium and cook 8 to 10 minutes until most of the water has cooked away and the meat is saucy.

8Place rice on plates.

9Top each serving with seasoned meat.

10Add 1/8 to 1/4 cup salsa and stir to combine.

11Top with shredded lettuce and cheese.

12Serve with extra toppings on the side.
