Tacos In A Shell

Ingredients

  • 18 jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 1/4 lb. ground beef
  • 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese with chives or can use plain cream cheese
  • 1 c. taco sauce
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 c. Monterey Jack cheese, shredded or can use 1 c. Mozzarella
  • 1 1/2 c. crushed tortilla chips and chopped green onions (for garnish, optional)

Directions

    Cook shells according to directions; drain well and add 2 tablespoons butter or margarine.

    Brown meat and drain.

    Cube cream cheese and let melt in meat.

    Stir in chili powder.

    Stuff shells and put in 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Pour taco sauce over shells and cover.

    Cook 15 minutes and uncover.

    Put cheese over shells and cook 15 minutes longer.

    (Garnish with tortilla chips and green onions if desired.)
