- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/4 c. light corn syrup
- 1/8 tsp. salt
Directions

1Place sugar, water, corn syrup and salt in a saucepan.

2Boil over medium heat until the mixture, when tested in a glass of cold water, forms a brittle ball like a marble.

3Remove the mixture from pan and let it cool until you can comfortably handle it. Butter your hands and firmly grasp the ends of the taffy.

4Pull it as far as it will go.

5Fold the two ends together and pull again. Repeat this until the taffy becomes snowy white. Pull out and twist into a long thin rope.

6Cut in bite size pieces.

7Wrap each piece in wax paper or kitchen plastic.
