Ingredients
- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1 c. warm milk
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine, melted
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 to 1 lb. all-purpose flour
- butter or margarine for pan
Directions

1In large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk.

2Add melted butter.

3Add salt and most of the flour.

4Beat with a wooden spoon until mixture is smooth and satiny.

5Turn dough out onto lightly floured board.

6Knead until smooth, adding a little flour, if necessary.

7Divide dough in half.

8Shape each half into a long loaf.

9Cut each loaf into 6 even pieces.

10Shape into oblong rolls. Place rolls in a greased pan, fairly close to each other.

11Slash tops.

12Flatten slightly with palm of hand.

13Sprinkle with little flour.

14Let rise for about 30 minutes.

15Bake at 400° on middle rack of oven for about 15 minutes or until light and golden brown. Makes 12 rolls.
